WS Development’s Leslie Doyle, Cannon Design’s James Miner lead efforts for one-of–a-kind gala and harbor cruise
BOSTON – As final preparations come together for Boston Harbor Now’s annual “Spectacle on Spectacle” party on Spectacle Island June 12, two top Hub development professionals have agreed to serve as event co-chairs.
Leslie Doyle, Vice President of Construction at WS Development, and James Miner, Executive Director for the East Region at CannonDesign, are heading up the blockbuster event that celebrates and supports ongoing efforts to protect and preserve a vibrant and welcoming Boston Harbor, waterfront, and islands.

Doyle, who leads major development projects in Boston for WS, and Miner, whose design and planning work extends from Boston throughout the East Coast, are also both top leaders at Boston Harbor Now. Miner serves on the non-profit organization’s Board of Trustees and Doyle on its Board of Advisors.
This year’s theme for Spectacle on Spectacle, “The Power of Now,” highlights the urgency of protecting the harbor and its surrounding communities, and the opportunity to take action today for long-term impact—keeping these valuable assets active, accessible, protected, and resilient.
Beginning with a short cruise out to Spectacle from Long Wharf, the beach-party event includes will feature seasonal, chef-crafted small plates; a stationary raw bar with fresh oysters; clambake, short rib, and empanada stations; and a selection of summer-inspired pastries and cookies to close the evening. Drinks will be provided by 90 Cellars and Maine Beer, two local favorites. Live music and dancing are also part of the fun, before a cruise back to Long Wharf overlooking, weather allowing, a beautiful sunset over the harbor.
