Dear Friends,
Boston Harbor Now is proudly committed to enhancing the harbor’s role in the health of our region. Boston Harbor is Greater Boston’s largest green and blue public open space and thus a major public health resource. There is ample data on the positive impacts of time spent in nature, taking in beautiful views, exercising and in particular, connecting with water. The Harbor is also critical to our environmental health and economic prosperity.
At the end of June, we will begin our HarborFit Saturdays and Sunday Fundays. The importance of welcoming public open space for everyone is emphasized in our latest Vlog, and your input is needed into the plans for the future of Peddocks Island. We combine our commitment to increased ferries with fitness in our boat+bike tour program.
Finally, the sold-out Forum on Climate and Waterfront Development is an important step in determining what is needed to protect people, property, and businesses from the changing climate.
Here’s to a happy and healthy start to your summer season.
