Dear Friends,
The Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park 2019 season opens on May 18th with a Free Ferry Day. Tickets are first come, first served, so come early and plan to spend some time enjoying the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Christopher Columbus Park, the New England Aquarium, or Faneuil Hall.
We have so much to be thankful this month!
- The Park Partnership works hard all year long to manage, improve, and program the islands for you. To understand how it all works, check out our latest Waterfront Wednesdays Vlog.
- The Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands, the hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers who welcome you to the waterfront at the Welcome Center and on the Islands are celebrating their 40th year.
- Jackrabbit Design has worked pro-bono with the Islands Partners all winter to improve the Partnership website and make your trip planning easier. We look forward to getting your feedback on the new and improved Boston Harbor Islands website launching later this month.
- Over 100 local libraries will offer the Library Pass Program this season to make the trip to the Boston Harbor Islands more affordable. Check with your local library and come on down to Long Wharf.
Summer is coming, and we are looking forward to another exciting season. I hope to see you on the harbor and islands very soon.
