Dear Friends,
This November we have so much to be thankful for that it is hard to know where to start. We are grateful to the more than 3,200 people who volunteered along the Harborwalk or in the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park this year. Volunteers picked up thousands of pounds of trash, took hundreds of people on tours, and welcomed thousands of people to our Harbor and its beaches, providing almost a million dollars worth of services to the Park.
We’re also deeply grateful for the men and women of the organizations that make up the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park Partnership and the Waterfront Partnership. Their service at every level is building a better harbor experience for everyone. Next week, some of these partners will honor the role Boston Harbor and Harbor Islands played in military history along with the servicemen and women who served and continue to serve on a special Veterans Day cruise. We hope you’ll join them.
And of course, we are thankful for all of you — whether you were one of the hundreds of thousands of people who rode the ferry, walked the Harborwalk, or visited an island. We appreciate everyone who made a donation to Boston Harbor Now so we could bring thousands more folks to the Harbor.
With gratitude,
Katherine F. Abbott
