BOSTON — Boston Harbor Now is proud to announce we’ve received an Innovation Grant from the National Park Foundation (NPF) to design and test next-generation enhancements to the Boston Harborwalk Webtool.
The grant will fund the redesign of the Harborwalk Webtool (bostonharborwalk.org), the digital front door to the 43-mile Boston Harborwalk, as a mobile-first gateway to the Boston waterfront and public open spaces. Planned enhancements will help visitors plan trips, navigate the waterfront, find accessibility information and public amenities, and connect with the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area through multilingual content, augmented reality experiences, virtual content, and other trip planning tools.
This is part of NPF’s latest $12 million investment to support innovation to strengthen parks, expand what is possible, and ensure these extraordinary places endure for generations.
