Harbor Bound provides free hands-on science field trips for high school classes from Boston and Cambridge.  Students participate in one of two field trips, which take place in May and October. Classes going to Deer Island will learn about the Boston Harbor cleanup through touring the state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant.  Classes going to Spectacle Island will participate in hands-on field science activities.  Field trips include free ferry trips from Rowes Wharf in Boston.  For more information, contact Rebecca Smerling at rsmerling@bostonharbornow.org.

This project is funded in part by the Massachusetts Environmental Trust. Sales of the Massachusetts Environmental Trust license plate help fund Boston Harbor Now’s programs for youth. To learn more, visit  https://www.mass.gov/orgs/massachusetts-environmental-trust
