New Moorings in the water by Spectacle Island

Boston Harbor Now in partnership with DCR is pleased to announce that 10 moorings have been installed at Spectacle Island for use by the general public. Another 5 moorings are expected to be installed in the next several days as soon as equipment can be delivered to the island. The moorings are currently free for use by the general public on a first come first served basis however, Boston Harbor Now and DCR are planning to begin using the public reservation mooring system DOCKWA so that recreational boaters will be able to reserve their moorings in the near future.
DCR currently has an application pending with the Army Corps of Engineers for an additional 130 mooring locations throughout the Boston Harbor Islands.

I'm really happy about the moorings....the kids of kings and always-do-wells....what a great summer...sunshine..snacks...birds...diesel..wind...worries gone...semi-cheap, 1,000,000 view..somewhat safe. Cant thank you enough....you peeps are usa dream makers for the masses.....impressed to high heaven a penny and a 100.
