Dear Friends,
Looking for a new year’s resolution? Embrace being a rugged, all-weather New Englander, and come out to appreciate Boston Harbor all year long. Our Harbor Islands and Harborwalk are teeming with people from Memorial Day to Labor Day and then it’s as if someone threw a switch—but Boston Harbor is worth visiting all year round!
Each fall brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to our shores via the cruise ship terminal. Winter is a great time for a wildlife cruise to look for snowy owls at Logan Airport or to visit Peddocks Island. It’s also a great time to watch the ships bring our road salt and heating oil in to port. When spring returns so do the striped bass and the blues, and it’s time to head down to the water’s edge and teach your kids how to catch supper. You need no encouragement for summer.
I hope we’ll embrace our Harbor all year long and reap the benefits.
Happy New Year,
